The Minnesota Orchestra is pleased to offer concerts individually and in packages as small as 3—or as big as 24 concerts. No matter what kind of music you like, we provide tickets and packages designed to fit your schedule and budget. The Minnesota Orchestra offers something for everyone.

Thursday through Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons (beginning Fall 2008) at Orchestra Hall is where you’ll hear the acclaimed Minnesota Orchestra. Under Osmo Vänskä’s baton, the Orchestra comes to life with glorious interpretations of works classic and contemporary. With 25 different classical concert programs performed September through June, there’s something for everyone.

Fidelity Investment Coffee Concerts

Mornings can be the very best time to sit back and take in the magnificent sound of the Minnesota Orchestra. This late-morning series covers the whole spectrum of great music and each concert includes complimentary coffee and donuts and pre-concert entertainment in the lobby. Pre-paid coach bus transportation from Southdale, Ridgedale and Rosedale malls is also available for purchase.

U.S. Bank Weekender Pops Concerts

Showcasing important artists of our time, the Weekender Pops series (performed on Friday and Saturday evenings as well as Sunday matinees) offers an eclectic mix of international talent representing a variety of genres, including vocal, world and orchestra performance.

Looking for the most comfortable way to get acquainted with the Minnesota Orchestra? You've just found it. Join the Orchestra for a one-of-a-kind journey through concert hall favorites.
The first half of each Inside the Classics concert features an in-depth exploration of the featured piece, the composer and the orchestra itself. Orchestra Violist Sam Bergman and his Orchestra colleagues will take you behind their music stands to better understand the music. Following intermission, you'll enjoy a complete performance of the featured work conducted by Sarah Hatsuko Hicks.

Close-to-Home Concerts

Osmo Vänskä at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church |
This unique concert experience at St. Andrew’s Church in Mahtomedi begins with a behind-the-scenes look at the music, featuring lively commentary and musical excerpts followed by a brief Q&A session with the conductor. Then, experience the full Orchestra perform in the beautiful setting of St. Andrew’s.

Music Up Close
|
Music Up Close offers Minnesota Orchestra audiences a variety of ways to explore classical music beyond the concert performance. From pre-concert discussions to post-concert Q&A’s, plus the opportunity to meet musicians and composers, you’ll find great ways to enrich your concert experience. Detail for each Music Up Close session can be found with individual concert listings throughout our concert calendar.

Sommerfest

During the months of July and August the Minnesota Orchestra celebrates summer in the city with a perennial favorite—Sommerfest. This splendid festival under the direction of Andrew Litton, is comprised of classical music’s greatest hits, plus a sampling of broadway, jazz, family favorites and chamber music all performed inside of Orchestra Hall. Outside you’ll find Peavey Plaza bursting with life with free musical entertainment and plenty of seating for light dining and cool summer refreshments.
EZ tickets packages make it simple to enjoy Sommerfest. To order, click here. Individual tickets to Sommerfest are available to the general public in April. Click on our concert calendar, look for events labeled “Sommefest.”

Holiday Concerts

Every December, Orchestra Hall becomes your musical home for the holidays, presenting some of the most beautiful sounds of the season—from all musical genres. Invite your family and friends to share the beauty of the season with a holiday concert at Orchestra Hall. Make a night of it—attend the annual Holidazzle parade just outside of Orchestra Hall and then enjoy a warm refreshment and free pre-concert entertainment in our lobby.
Holiday concerts occur in the month of December. Individual tickets to Holiday concerts are available to the general public in August. Click on our concert calendar, look for events labeled “Holiday.”

Special Presentations
|
Each year the Minnesota Orchestra presents special events that are announced throughout the season. First to subscribers, then to e-mail club members and then posted for the general public on our web site. Special presentations generally sell out quickly, so we encourage you to order tickets early. On our concert calendar, look for events labeled “Special Presentation.”

Target Free Family Concerts with the Minnesota Orchestra
|
The Minnesota Orchestra’s popular family concerts are FREE, thanks to generous support from Target. Families with children of all ages are encouraged to join us for these one-hour performances at Orchestra Hall. These concerts, many of which feature the Minnesota Orchestra and other great artists, present the world’s finest music in programs sure to delight—as well as teach.

Young People’s Concerts
|
Minnesota Orchestra Young People's Concerts are a wonderful way to introduce students of all ages to symphonic music. Each concert focuses on a specific musical element, composer, time period or theme and is individually tailored for primary grades to upper-elementary. Young People’s concerts are for educational groups of elementary school-age children, including Homeschools.
