The Orchestra's many instruments—and the musicians who play them—come to the fore in this concert, which opens with John Corigliano's amazing Promenade, in which each section of the Orchestra takes turns marching on stage. Ginastera's Concert Variations carries on the theme, as each instrument is featured in a solo—while cameras project live shots of the musicians at work. Students are also invited to submit art works of their own to illustrate this work.
