DIRECTIONS TO THE BASILICA OF SAINT MARY
FROM THE SOUTH: Take I-494 West to I-35, go north to
I-94 and west to the Hennepin-Lyndale exit. Go north on Lyndale
to Hennepin and north on Hennepin to the Basilica.
FROM THE EAST: Take I-94 West, take the Hennepin-Lyndale
exit, go north on Lyndale to Hennepin and north on Hennepin
to the Basilica.
FROM THE WEST: Take I-94 East, take the Lyndale-Hennepin
exit and turn west onto Dunwoody Boulevard to the Basilica.
FROM THE NORTH: Take I-35W, then take I-94 West, take
the Hennepin-Lyndale exit, go north on Lyndale to Hennepin
and north on Hennepin to the Basilica.
WHERE TO PARK
Free parking is available on the west side of the church in
front of the rectory on 17th Street and in the parking lot
north of the school at 16th and Laurel. Free parking is also
available on the weekends in the MCTC parking ramp east of
the church on Hennepin and 16th Street across from the Cowley
Center. The entrance to the ramp is off Hennepin Avenue.

Perched on a hill overlooking the downtown St. Paul skyline,
this glorious Cathedral is a splendid venue in which to experience
Handel's Messiah. The Orchestra offers annual performances
of this sacred masterpiece, as well as selected recitals and
special concerts at the Cathedral.
DIRECTIONS TO THE CATHEDRAL OF ST. PAUL:
FROM THE WEST (Minneapolis): Take I-94 East to the
Marion Street exit. Turn right and proceed to John Ireland
Boulevard (first right). Proceed on John Ireland to Selby
and turn right. The Cathedral is located on the corner of
Selby and John Ireland.
FROM THE EAST (Wisconsin): Take I-94 West to the Marion
Street exit. Turn left and cross back over I-94. Turn right
on John Ireland Boulevard and proceed to Selby. Turn right
on Selby. The Cathedral is located on the corner of Selby
and John Ireland.
WHERE TO PARK
There is a parking lot on Selby, south of the Cathedral, with very limited space. Alternatively, street parking is available in the nearby residential area. Please plan to arrive early so you may locate parking and find your seat before the concert begins.

Take I-35W N toward Minneapolis. Merge onto MN-65 N via the exit on the left toward downtown exits. Take the 5th Ave. S. (MN-65) exit on the left. Stay straight to go onto S. 5th Ave. Continue to follow S. 5th Ave. Turn right onto S. 2nd St.
From the West (via I-394E):
Merge onto I-394E.
Take the 3rd Ave N. / Washington Ave. exit (Exit 9C).
Take the Washington Ave. ramp.
Turn slight right onto N. Washington Ave. (CR-152 S.).
Turn left onto S. 5th Ave. Turn right onto S. 2nd St.
From the North (via I-35W South):
Merge onto I-35W S.
Take the 4th St. SE exit (exit 18) toward University Ave.
Turn right onto 4th St. SE.
Turn left onto Central Ave. NE / MN-65. Continue to follow MN-65/3rd Ave. S.

evergreens, the clean lines of the sanctuary at St. Andrew's
Lutheran Church provide a dramatic backdrop for the Minnesota
Orchestra's Close to Home Concerts.
DIRECTIONS TO ST. ANDREW'S LUTHERAN CHURCH
FROM THE WEST: Take I-94 going east through downtown
St. Paul, until reaching the 494/694 exchange. Take I-694
north to Highway 36. Turn right onto 36, going east. Get
off quickly on Hilton Trail north, turning left onto Hilton
Trail. Turn right onto Stillwater Rd. Follow the driveway
around to the right to the sanctuary, where the concert will
be held.
FROM THE EAST: Take 94 going west toward downtown
St. Paul. At the 494/694 exchange, follow 694 north to
